FLOURISHES: REALISM IN IMPROV

WEDNESDAYS / 7PM-9PM / september 18 - october 9 / 4 WEEKS (NO SHOW) / $200 + TAXES / ADULTS 18+

REALISM IN IMPROV w/Jason Grimmer

In improv it can get pretty heady, whether starting a scene or joining one, ideas flutter in fast and sometimes - as panic sets in -  lead to choices that derail rather than move a scene forward. In cases like this, it's nice to feel like you have the backup of being a human and making human choices, not worrying about what will be funny or important, instead living in it and reacting the way a real person would. Realism In Improv is a class that will exercise your ability to make cool, calm choices based on what is happening, and letting your natural state take over.

PREREQUISITES:

At least 1 year of stage experience, in addition to 1+ years of in-class improv experience (or equivalent). If you are unsure if this includes you or your experience, please contact us.

SCHEDULE:

Wednesdays 7:00pm - 9:00pm / September 18, 25, Oct 2, 9

ABOUT:

Jason Grimmer is an improviser and artistic director for Theatre VME and the manager of Mile End Improv. He also produces and performs in the popular shows Films In Focus and Night Drive.
